1979 AMC spirit drag car, chrome molly frame roller, no motor or transmission
I have a 1979 AMC sprit drag car, roller, no motor or transmission, setup for AMC motor and Chevy PG transmission. Car has not been raced in 3 years been stored inside enclosed trailer, Won best race car at AMC races in Cordova and won AMO gold in St. Louis.
Here’s the specs:
Chassis: 8.50 NHRA certified but expired, chrome molly cage, chrome molly round tube chassis from front of car to right in front of rear wheel then 2 by 3 chrome moly steel frame over rear wheels. 98” wheelbase, 4 link rear with wishbone, Ford Fab 9 inch rear end with back brace and Strange coil overs, Strange single adjustable struts on front, Strange brakes with 4 piston calipers on all 4 wheels, chrome wheelie bars, aluminum front motor plate and aluminum mid plate, aluminum radiator, aluminum 5 gallon fuel cell, RJS chute, window net, brand new Goodyear tires front and back, rear tires (32X16-15), front runners (26X-15), MSD 7AL-2 plus ignition, rack and pinion front steering. Set up for pro (just transbrake with 2 step no delay box) racing, Hurst quarter stick, has electric shift but not currently hooked up. Holley HP150 fuel pump with Holley filter.
Body: 1979 AMC spirit, all Lexan windows. Fiberglass frontend, hood, doors and hatch lid. Aluminum rear bumper. Steel tubes bead rolled, Custom made aluminum rear wing. Aluminum dash, tunnel and inside door panels. Aluminum Kirkey seat with Simpson belts (expired). Has steel floor, Autometer tach and gauges. Separate hood scoop that goes around hood that mounts on motor, paint red, white and blue with metal flake in paint, base coat clear coat, probably 8 out 10 paint condition could use some cleaning.
