How about a nice sleeper,,

http://www.ptcrew.com/gallery/albums...icks.sized.jpg

2003 PT Cruiser GT,, running 12.1 @ 115mph on shake down run. Should be in the 11s this year. I want to keep it above 11.5 so no cage. This is a complete street car, open the hood looks like a stock PT GT untill you look very close and notice the 50 trim AGP turbo system.

Bottom end built for strength, no radical cams (Crane #12) no bottle.

Ummm,, you could say that. AJ Berge in Long Island NY has built me a 41TE that is holding up very well, of course,, that finds the next weak link,, axles.

Kinda figured you did, you start making any decent power and putting it to a transaxle and something gonna break, axles next.

Yes it is.

Well while home in NV we also picked up another Mustang for the wifey. Good chances that this one is going to be turned into a street/strip car for her to have fun in too. It needs a lil bit of work done to it so we are not to concerned with tearing into it and putting in a roll cage and all that. Right now it has a V6 under the hood but will have a V8 after I get my hands on it.

Should have the motor back Thursday or Friday. Had it freshened and drilled the intake for 2 stages. I also switched to a programable 7 ign. Gonna take me a little to get it set up. Trans and convertor are fresh too.

Hey Rabbit, Was talking to Jeggy today. He stopped in my shop today and bought a fuel filter for his KW. He spoke very highly of you. Said you were a great person to deal with. I guess he is building a new ride too.

TS1955

If he buys ANY parts for his new ride from you make sure you sell him a good old FRAM oil filter, some watered down racing gas and some old spark plugs. LOL. I'm glad he's building a new ride, but I sure hope it takes him a couple of years to get it going. Maybe that way I'll have a chance to win a race or two. LOL. I need to call him, haven't talked to him in a few months.

Thanks!

ccperf721p 02-23-2010 07:23 PM

Doing some maintenance. (Wish I had a bigger shop so I wouldn't have to work in the trailer.)

Wabbit:

I love the truck... I know very little about your sport (other than what you have told me). All the great fundamentals are there: huge back tires, nasty built big motor, light weight, all in the mud!!! How could ya not like that??? i would love just to watch even. We do not have mud drags here anywhere close unfortunately. Good Job!!!

cepx111 06-18-2010 09:27 PM

There's not much to show on the motor. It's the same one I've had for a while.

has this wabbit been out to play in the mud yet? 8) 8)

TheRabbit 06-19-2010 05:29 PM

Yea it has. I've only got 9 passes on it and still trying to get it dialed in. Race today was canceled. What a bummer. :( :(

This was the first time I had ever started the motor. I literally put the last radiator hose on just before I pulled to the line.
http://s163.photobucket.com/albums/t...h132ndpass.mp4

I'll get some better ones soon I hope.

MEMRACING62 06-19-2010 06:24 PM

if I ever make it down there during race season Im going to look up one of your tracks & spend a day there watching you guys, IT LOOKS AWESOME!! 8)

We were in Du Quoin, Il. two weeks ago, but that was still 5 hrs from Orland Park. We raced in La Porte, IN. last year at the La Porte fair grounds, but that race didn't work out this year.

This is a link to the MRA events page. I'll be at all the races ("Fast Track") except the Transfer, PA. race. We're also gonna have one in Florida late October.

Scott,
The Madd Rabbit looks great! Next time you are through here lets get some lunch, I promise not to be late again
How about the track in NC near Raleigh, anything pan out?

BTW, don't let him fool you boys..........That is a seriously bad ass motor he has in The Madd Rabbit :!: :D :D

TheRabbit 06-19-2010 07:43 PM

Rudy. That sounds like a good plan to me. Steve moved to frickin Texas on me!! Not sure when I'll get up that way, but if nothing else I'll just make a trip one weekend and come up.
This brings me to another thing I've been thinking about. I wonder if a few of us could find a half way point and get together this winter or (fall)?? There just may be some b. s.'n and beer drinkin involved!!

Thanks!!

TheYellaBrick 06-19-2010 07:57 PM

HOLY COW, BATMAN !! How big are those primaries ??? Looks like 3" !!

You know that is an excellent plan. The only thing is I am only back in the states maybe a couple times a year. I might be back in the states in Jan for a 30 day vacation tho. Plus might even be back east in TN so I could pick up my Stang from storage in Ohio. Wont know for positive till time gets closer tho.

lol. Their only 2 1/2" with a 4 1/2" collector. This animal's gotta breath or at least blow some hot air! lol

hollowayshotrods 06-20-2010 07:24 AM

I'm game for a road trip to hang with gearheads!
WTH, Steve moved to Texas! I wonder if he moved all his shop stuff as well.....Thats a shame for this area, nice guy that cares about his work.
What is the closest Madd Rabbit will be runnung this season? What about the track near Raleigh, (I think).

Steve moved to Tx to teach a class (head work). I forget the name of the school, but it's where he went to school. He does still have his stuff at his shop in Concord. He's not really taking on any more motor work, but still taking care of the customers he already had.

Sorry I didn't answer you question about the track in Sanford. They are a Hill n Hole track and not gonna have any flat track races for Pro Stock trucks this year.

Not much close to Raleigh that I know about. There has to be something close. I'll look and see if I can find anything. I will be racing Sept. 26th-27th Cartersville, Virginia, but that's almost 4hrs away. Neeses, Sc on July 17. It will be a heads up quick 16. It by far is the best race to come to, but it’s also 4hr from Nc.

Rudy I found the problem. I guess you were kinda right  . I had a web site listed in this reply and for some reason it would not show up any of my mssg. The strange part is my pm to you was blank and it didn't have any links in it. I think the email did, but the pm did not.
I thought one of the mods got mad because they figured out that my mud truck could out run their car!! lol

hollowayshotrods 06-23-2010 05:56 AM

Rabbit,
Glad to see you got it squared up, computer problems can be a real pain in the butt, not to mention time consuming. :D
