we are using arp head bolts no studs and we used sealer on all the bolts thanks

Do you mean under the header between the head and block or from the header flange? Not sure I am getting the picture of where exactly it is coming from. Are you using head studs?

we found the problem cracked cylinder wall taking back to machine shop thanks for all your help

Had that happen to a family member. Machine shop sleeved it and once he tightened the head down it cracked again. But his was getting water in the oil.

Gpracer, in using that 400 block your problem maybe the same again shortly. The 400 block is notorious for cracking the cylinders. The cylinders are simese and kinda thin. My advice if your running very much compression would be to invest in a dart block. Problem solved no more worries. Just a thought.
