I been running alky for years, injection, several different carbs. Anyone that does anything extra vs gas is doing it for nothing. I make a lot of passes a year, dont drain the fuel dont run upper lube (wait till you get some bad stuff that gums up a carb once you'll love it to) I change the oil the same as I did with gas (50-55) passes. Rebuild my engines the same. There is to many people who make it harder then it should be :D Them Damn CARBS gum up ALOT!(On My John DEERE)Cause thats the ONLY Place you SHOULD Have a CARB!!!!!!! Later G :) but they sure do gum up if ya dont watch it, and some top lubes are horrible. Why did you pull the injector off? Doing some super racing? Curtis |

Am I allowed to guess? Want to guess what an alky carb picks up going from 114 rollout to 108? LOL
On the alky, love it. Never get the car over 180 degrees in eliminations. Have had the car double entered and triple entered putting 2 or 3 runs on the car within a 20 minute span. Fuel it and go!! On all the motors we have tore down, never have I seen any signs of alcohol causing any effect to the motor. |
