Friends are like trees.
there are leaves-they change with the seasons there are limbs-ocassionally one falls off and another one grows back in it's place there are trunks-these are the ones that stick around for your whole life. there are roots-that's you holding the whole thing together These friend's of yours sound like leaves. |
GREAT analogy :D

to drag race or not to drag race is the question???????
OK, Look the guys and gals on here have all posted some really great stuff and my hat is off to them.I am a drag racer and some may say I am bias so, I will put it in a non bias way:"Live and be cautious and sheltered,or, Live dangerously and on the edge, but, Live the same amount of time." which one anyone chooses is up to them,as for the latter of the two ways trust me its much more fun.......purpledragon

GO FOR IT! I still take my old Coupe to Test-N-Tune days, it only runs in the 15's or 16's but I'm having fun. If your ride will run in the 13's stock then you are doing better then me.
I agree that you should take your wife and get her involved, maybe even let her try driving on the strip. she'll have a blast! |

I got lucky and married one of those women. She has wanted to go to the gatornational for years because it falls on her birthday. well she got her wish last week and I have been reaping the benefits for the last 10 days.
tickets for gatornationals on Sunday = $125 fuel for 2000 mile roundtrip = $275 beachhouse rental for 1 week = $785 "doing it" like teenagers with your wife of 16 years = PRICELESS!!!!! |

when I first started going out with my wife she was in the house and I was pulling a chev truck into the garage I was working on, before pulling it into the garage, I did one more check of the line loc and smoked them slicks up good in driveway, the door on garage was open and a lot of smoke driffeted in the house, I thought she would be pissed, she thought it was cool, she told me to do it again LOL I knew I was in love right then and there :D

One of the great things about drag racing, or bracket racing is that you can participate at many different levels (both performance and finance) and still have great fun!
Take me for example; over the years I'm become more involved every year. Now that my kids are grown and I'm middle-age-crazy, I race about every weekend during the race season and I'm having a blast. Also, win a race every now-and-then! And you'll find some really great people involved in drag racing and make good friendships at the track. So, there is also a social side to drag racing. WD |
hey chris got any pics??????

didnt take any pics of the drags, been there done that over the last 25 years. I got some good shots at Garlits museum. It was the view from the house and dock that made it all worthwhile, best sunsets I had seen in years...
