Well I talked to her yesterday morning her time and she was going to be going to the ER in Reno instead of going in to the ER in town. The doctors that she was seeing in town were hoping that the hospital in Reno would admit her in due to her having another flare-up. She has an appointment back east at Vanderbilt with the doctors that she had before when she was pregnant. They still remembered her even after over 2 years since she seen them last. She will me moving back East the very beginning of July when the rental that she is getting opens up July 1st. As of right now that is all the news I have. She was getting better until she had this flare-up again.

Man that's too bad Dennis, I was hoping she'd be better by now, what doesnt Neveda have any decent doctors???

I know you'd like nothing more than to be at home taking care of your wife right now, but that's your cross to bear my friend, hang in there, it wont be long and you'll forget all about that god forsaken place.

It seems like all the doctors in town care about is the money that they can make. Vanderbilt has some of the best care and they wont stop searching for what is wrong at any cost. When 3 other hospitals were saying that she was having cramps while being pregnant was just due to stress(which she didnt have any) and handed her meds for them I took her down to Vanderbilt in Nashville and they ran every test possible on her and they found that the cramps and pain was from her gall bladder being 3/4 full of stones. Yeah they gave her meds to deal with the pain but only because they wanted to wait till she was 18 weeks along before putting her thru surgury to remove her gall bladder.

Also all the doctors that she goes to right now just think she is a druggie and just wants the drugs. They also think she is crazy and making everything up. I really doubt that she is making it up when she only like a month or so along with our first one she was wrestling baby horses trying to get halters on them. She was being stubborn when she was doing that and wouldnt let me do it by myself.

I just talked to her for a few mins just now and they did admit her in the hospital and have already done a catscan and an X-ray on her to see what they are dealin with. I dont know what all else they are going to do but she is in a private room due to her immunity being down and the fact that they dont know what she has and if it can be passed onto someone else at all. She is in good spirits so far. It is looking right now that the doctor is going to be doing anything possible to figure out what is wrong so we shall see how this turns out.

Well an update on the wife situation................

It is official the doctors in Nevada dont have a clue what they are doing. They are discharging her from the hospital and think that she will be fine if she just eats. The thing is that she cant really eat anything otherwise it feels like she just got hit by a semi due to the pain being so bad. It gets soo bad that she curls up in the fetal position.

dont give up, take her back to the doctors , whenever she needs it get a 2nd and 3rd oppinion, some times they dont want to take the time to figure out the problems, dont give up and dont take nothing is wrong for a answer

Yeah it is sad when the doctors think that she is making everything up. The test that they did on her was after she had been on Steriods for the infection. They took all of her meds away so now she has to deal with pain. This is one reason why I love it back East in TN-KY. The doctors actually care about the patients.

We are both keeping in good spirits the best we can right now. I know once she gets back East she will be in good hands.

Well here is an update once again.......

They didnt discharge her and they did an endoscopy and found a gastritis. They are changing up the treatments for her and keeping a watch with her in the hospital still. I will keep you guys posted on whats going on.

Yes it is very good that they found something. When they were doing the thingy( Forgot what it is called) they couldnt go all the way into the stomach without hurting her really bad but they seen all that they needed with what they did get to see. So it is looking up somewhat. Now if only the nurses will do their job.

Sorry guys I totally spaced out and forgot to update this. They did discharge her the next day(after my last update) and the doctors took her off of all meds when she was discharged. She had to go back to urgent care to get more meds due to the pain being unbearable again. She seems to be getting better and the pain not being as bad but it does get pretty bad still. She has yet to try to eat regular food in fear of having another flare up.

Man Dirka I feel for ya. It's gotta suck being so far away and not being able to help.
Well I hope they are on the right track and she keeps getting better.

Talking with her to her yesterday she said that she is able to eat normal foods again but not that many. The meds that she got from urgent care do knock the pain down now so she is more comfy after eating. She starting to get back into the groove and slowly being able to go outside and work on the place doing little things. So things are looking up.

Good News!!!

Well since I started this thread already about the wife I figured I would just giver an update on her health.

Yeah she is having problems again. It is not the same thing as it was back when I started this thread.

She is now back in TN/KY and going down to her doctors in Nashville at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and they found a tumor on her lung when she was back there in Jan time frame. Well last Thursday she had a biopsy and the results said that there were 7 tumors and they were malignant. They want to do surgury with chemo and radiation but she doesnt want to. She still has the ulceritis thingy. She told ne that she ddint want to be sick from the chemo and radiation and that they will aggrivate the ulcers and make her sick even more.

Thanks for all the support guys. I am trying to be strong during this trying time but to be honest it is hard.

As of right now the only update I have is that in Jan she will be going into surgery to have them removed. Right now she is in good spirits and trying to get everything straight so we can get closer to moving back to TN. They have her on some pain meds so that she aint in a lot of pain.

If there is any more info that comes up I will keep you guys updated.
