He was being sarcastic , and besides the rear bumper it looks like it has 71-72 front fenders ...70's had a light on the lower front fender,71-72 DIDN'T. But then again there isn't a good view of the front fender.

Besides....who in the heck would change a 70 to look like a 72? usually it's the other way around, as most like the 70 better.
