Thanks. Originally bought the El Camino to tow the Camaro. One thing led to another and all of sudden I'm doing a frame off resto! If I could keep my hands off the Camaro I'd have the El Camino finished by now. Shooting for 9's with the Camaro this year!

woodsman 06-08-2007 11:19 PM

steve69ss396 you are looking for some mighty big numbers out of the 69 Camaro so it sounds like your a man of speed like the rest of us. Well have fun with it and keep it safe. Wesley

chevguy65 06-09-2007 05:18 AM

Hello
I sent my car to the bodyshop last Sunday. It will come back in Hot Rod flat black or a flat blue finish. I will drive it like that for a season anyway
The car will be here again in 3 weeks then the motor a week or two after that
http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a86...rk%20for%20me/
long project coming to an end
Tom

Carl Thank You for fixing this thread,(Resizing Pictures)

Guys Please keep the picture size down to 800x600 for us that have 15 inch monitors and those that are still on dial up

Thanks
Tom

henny 06-13-2007 04:23 PM

Hello Carl
I am glad you like the car. It truly has been a labour of love
I will post more pics once it comes back
take care
Tom
I started this car from scratch......actually worse than scratch

topsportsman1 06-13-2007 04:27 PM

Wow Tom,last time I seen the car it was a frame and the body work was in the latter stages, you've done a nice job getting the car done and ready for paint.Congrats Tom

chevguy65 06-13-2007 04:57 PM

Oh man, is this the car that was hanging in your backyard?

If so it has come a long way.

Either way it is sweet and I commend you on all the work!!!!!!

woodsman 06-13-2007 06:24 PM

henny496 I sure like your ride we have got to see that when you are finished. Wesley

topsportsman1 06-14-2007 01:22 AM

Wesley
If you never seen Tom's car when he was resurecting it,you'd be in for a treat, maybe we can get Tom to post some of the early pictures back up so everyone could see how some of his repairs were done.

How about it Tom,show some of the guys how you had the car boxed up and did the fiberglass repairs, that was the neetest thing I had seen.

Tom is one of the true hotrodders, and he is right that project was a labor of love

henny 06-14-2007 02:16 AM

Hello
This car has had a lot of work. I basically went down to the birdcage with it,,
On my sig, you will see a www box and if you click on it you will see the car in varous stages. There are different headings to go with it
The body guy only does vettes, so it will come back really nice
take care
Tom

bbb555 that looks good up in the air. I hope mine will get up in the air like that.

Tom I went back and looked at your Vette closer and you are turning that thing into car art for hotrodders. Man I wish I could pay you for it when you got finished. That would surely make me the man in my little town. All you guy's keep up the good work no matter what your budgets. Wesley
