mud truck

Man,
Thats a SWEEEEET ride, but I have never understood one thing about mud racers and dirt trackers, why build something something and invest SOOOOOO much in it only to tear it up? Nothing personal, just curious?

TheRabbit 08-20-2008 07:48 PM

Hard to say why most of us love mud racing so much. i think most of us like to travel to different tracks and every race is so different!
General drag racing rules don't always apply either!! Good trucks don't break as much as people think!!

cjay 08-26-2008 09:02 PM

it is just a bad disease it kinda sucks having to wash all the mud off every weekend but I do it for the rush of the ride there is nothing like it when you let the trans brake go I'll spend anything on that feeling

TheRabbit 10-01-2008 02:09 PM

there were a bunch of good ones!
I was looking forward to seeing your small block scream!! I was afraid to ask, but since you posted it... I was behind you and just out of the picture when it poooped.. ouch! Hope not too much damage!
We had a good time and the track was great!! (a little too good for RoHo! lol)

gimmemud 10-02-2008 04:53 AM

If I hadnt hit the NOS motor purge while trying to turn off the switches, everything would have been fine. I think I had the timing set too low and that is what caused it to stall out on the transbrake. I watched the video back and just before I released the brake the engine stalled out, you know the rest of the story. I move the purge switch so that this never hasppens again. Makes me sick to look at that $1600 CSU carb blown in half

Got everything ready to go back together, hopefully we will make the Charrelston race this weekend.

Thats a good question but really you dont break as much as people think if you can keep your nose clean. I love racing period any kind but dirt track racin is different cause you go out for hot laps or practice and the track is muddy you go back out for your heat its dry and dusty and you have change your whole set up and driving style
