Do you think that Michell J Fox has driven this one too? Looks more advanced and purpose built than the Delorian was. The kidney bar is missing on both drivers and passengers funny car cages. Might be tec / certification issues ?

Tod74 05-11-2009 04:51 AM

I messaged him and told him I thought it was bad ass....especially the air intake. He said he designed it himself and was going to sell them for $500(the air intake)

oldandtired 05-11-2009 05:09 AM

I have to give him credit for his project.
If you and I liked everything the same, one of us is unnecessary.

I have to disagree,(He got it one piece at a time, and it didn't cost him a dime...." ) It cost him a lot of chewing gum on those welds, wow i would drive that to the corner store, way too dangerous.

That is what I call working under the influence! Must be some good drugs that he can work that hard, that mess wasnt created overnight!

ashbros 05-24-2009 05:19 PM

Yeah Zip Those goober welds were the first thing I saw, But I must admit he is quiite creative.

Tod74 05-24-2009 05:21 PM

dragonmaster093 05-27-2009 09:19 PM

welds look like there were done by first grader with it sitting that low how the hell you gonna get it on trailer looked like he had tooooo much time and more money then brains but i guess you could give a for imagination

TRChassis 05-30-2009 05:45 AM

If the welds look that bad and are that bad where anyone can see them, you can just imagine what the welds look like on the rest of the chassis that you can't see, like the rear end etc. That is some very low quality craftsmanship and so very dangerous. There is no way any track big or small would ever let that thing run at their track.

Rick

TheYellaBrick 05-30-2009 07:35 AM

I can only imagine what they look like in person !
I've seen circle burners where the rollcage welds were sooooo poorly done that I wouldn't even sit in the car with the engine off. And the tracks let 'em race anyway !

dragonmaster093 05-30-2009 10:39 PM

yea i know a guy with a left turner like that when he got it i said let me take to the shop and fix welds said no first time put on hook bars around the fuel cell came up not car again let me fix noo had guy at same shop i wrked do it told him he cant weld sure nuff welds worse then before broke loose hot lapping moral let guy who went to school for welding has worked as welder weld was gonna do it for free as favor

Tod74 05-31-2009 03:05 AM

Dude said in the ad it was not NHRA or IHRA legal...he also said the welds weren't too good and it was just built for looks and street cruising.

dparker 05-31-2009 01:34 PM

If it breaks in half running down the street at 50 mph, it still gonna hurt abit. Unsafe is unsafe. I think the car should be condemned.

Are you suggesting there could be a slight chance that car might not certify?

sds10racer 05-31-2009 06:37 PM

MEMRACING62 05-31-2009 06:39 PM

think it would hold together long enough to make a sixty foot time :?:

dragonmaster093 05-31-2009 07:46 PM

problem with it being on street most dot inspectors ive run across wouldnt lnow a good weld from there own a$$es they gave this one salvage yard a clear title after inspecting this car the problem is the frame work (welding thin steel over rust lasted 3 days they had me ttake it from yard to lot and hit pot hole herd a pop and from shock mounts back of the frame fell off (of course pants had lumps and car smelled real funny after)

ashbros 05-31-2009 09:42 PM
