55 and older racers
 

Who's still racing thats 55 and older and what is he or she's age?
I'm 63 this month.

Turned 72, on Feb. 2nd, built 3 engines for other people last year, got 2 cars under construction and 1 running at this time. I know atleast 1/2 doz. racers here in La. over 55, some over 65, and that many up in Ms. also. Old racers never die we just run out of funds to finish out projects.

60 and NOT DONE !! :D :D :D

58 and no plans to ever quit , just had to change the kind of vehicle , had hard time getting out of dragsters so went to door car last year ( cheaper too :-) )

56 and still :arrow: 8)

Ya know that you're a hardcore racer when you are under sedation for a colonoscopy and your last words before going totally under are (slurringly) "Maaaaan, I hope they don't strap me in a race car while I'm like this...." :D :D :D

Got a ways to go. I'll turn 43 next week. (I feel at least 70) You guys give me something to look forward too! :D

Well said Wabbit. I will be 41 next week (like the Willies coupe) & looking forward to being like you old farts.

Turned 59 today and the car I race turned 38 last month. I ordered the car new. Was my 21st birthday present from me.

NOW THAT IS COOL!!!

I don't have anything that I've had very long. I don't even keep the same hobbies for to many years.

Will be 59 this month, hopefully. On my fifth drag car in 40 years. Been building a few engines for myself and friends every year. Cars have been my only hobby unless you count women.

56 this year and still racing a pro-stock on a aspahlt oval 7/16th mile.

How old
 

69 and ran 22 races last year and plan on the same. racing 52 years and had the samw car 32 years. Still fun . Like Zipper said built 5 motors last year but used to do 10 or so. Later J.Smith 4621 racing

I am 57, and still machining race engines and building. Building about 20 stroker motors a year. Own and drive an 8 second '81 Camaro (favorite), a 7 second SB Spitzer dragster that my son drives, and a 9 second SB '88 S10. Don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Will be 55 going on 17 in September.Race almost every weekend, unless I'm fishing LIFE IS SHORT PLAY HARD.!!!!

turn 55 march going to race long as i can i can rest when i have time or run out of money which every comes first :shock:
