Detecting AI-Written Content Reliably

How reliable are current tools and methods for detecting AI-generated text, and what signs or patterns do you usually look for to tell if content was written by AI?

Detecting AI-generated text has improved, but current tools and methods are not yet 100% reliable. Many detection systems provide probability scores rather than certainty, which means false positives or negatives can happen. Common signs I look for include overly structured sentences, a neutral tone that avoids strong opinions, and repetition of certain phrases. Sometimes the text lacks personal anecdotes or context-specific details, which makes it feel less human. Tools like detect ai written content can help, but human judgment is still essential.

AI detection tools are improving but not perfect; they help flag content, yet human judgment remains crucial for accuracy and context.
