More power needed from my ZZ4 Fastburn

I am running the ZZ4 Fastburn with the hot cam kit rated around 425 hp in a 1977 Camaro drag car. The engine runs great and is consistant but I want to raise the compression/ more power . I know, it never ends... Lol Any ideas?

I was thinking about a set of dome pistons but was hoping I could get some ideas as to what compression ratio the fastburn heads would handle. I was hoping not to have to change heads. Any ideas?

Stuff a Mopar bigblock in it of course! :P :P

Now DD thats like sticking a Chevy in a Mopar. It just doesnt make any sense doing it. It aint going to get faster by doing either of those things.   :P :P

On a serious side. Is this going to be a budget build or no?? And how much HP are you looking at gaining?

what does "zz" & "4" stand for?

I admire your dedication to the Mopar nation DD. I'm not Prejudice.

I am not rich but I understand that speed = money. That is why I was looking for ideas so I can see what I'm looking at financially. I'm running a 9" slick with 4:88 gear and mini spool behind a built 350 turbo trans.
I have 90/10 shocks on the front and stock rear leaf suspension.

When I take off, it leaves hard but I can feel the rear end "swaying" for about the first 100 or so until it really hooks up good and starts pulling. When I go through the 1/4 mile the engine is consistantly at 7,000 RPM.

I wonder if I should just work more on the suspension. I have an 8 point cage but no sub frame connectors, Cal trax or stuff like that.

put some 4.10's in it,or did you have them?

that seems like a steep gear for a zz4.

I would first try getting a better setup with the rear suspension. You want it to hook hard from the get go not 100' down the track. Getting it to hook from the start will also lower your 60' time too.

Hey thanks for the advice but would 4:10's work well on the drag strip where your looking for quick hole shots? This car is not driven on the street at all.

As far as how much power I want.....I'm thinking 450 to 500hp range.

1/4 mile or 1/8 mile?

what rpm converter?

what rpm at the finish line?
