I absolutely hate this time of year.

Christmas has completely lost it's meaning in this country. Even if you are not Christian and do not believe in the birth of Christ etc, it should still be about family and friends and being kind to fellow human beings etc...not this commercial Holiday where people spend money they do not have on people only to have those people take the shit back and exchange it.

ba humbug.

gOOD DEAL DRAGON !
wE ALL NEED TO 'RECONNECT' WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. sPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH THEM IS WAY BETTER THAN GIVING 'STUFF'. make YOUR GIFTS OR DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THEM VIA A 'GIFT CARD'.

OOP...CAPS LOCK

I do agree with you 100%, but without the Christmas revenue many stores would not make it meaning more people (or family) would be out of jobs. But I agree it is way to much about gifts than it is about being with family / friends.

To be totally honest since I have been gone from home during ALOT of holidays they have all turned into just a normal day for me. Right now it dont matter if it is a holiday or not I still have to put in a normal 12 hour work day. Yeah I choose to be out here but like I just said in all honestly it is just a regular day even if I was in the states.
