1989 dodge 318 5.2lt

I have a 89 dodge d150 with a 318 5.2lt and it has a throttle body. I was wondering if you can convert the throttle body on a LA engine to a modern angle neck throttle body that runs on a magnum engine?? or any suggestions on a new throttle body would help. I really want to get the single barrel throttle body off it.

Well you have 2 completely different beast's there. Your unit has 2 injectors built into the throttle body. The newer models have the injectors built into the intake for each individual cylinder. It would be a nightmare since you would have to change fuel systems, engine wiring, engine controllers, etc...

To answer your question :!: Nope :!: Bolt pattern is different :!:

ok well any suggestion for me would be a big help????? I know my throttle body looks like a single barrel carb. I am not use to dealing with TBI I have always had carbs much easier. If anyone has a ideal or suggestion it would be welcome. :D

why do you need to change it? guess you can always put a carb and manifold on it

TBI is computer controlled, In order to install a intake and carb to get it to work you will have to bypass, Idle air control, Throttle position sensor,And both injectors, If the controller doesn't get feedback from injectors it will not fire ignition coil :!: And you will have to put a regulator on fuel line because fuel pump is high pressure in tank pump :!: :!:
