One thing..I personally believe used parts should never be priced more then 50% of original cost of the part no matter how little its used...used is USED in my book.
a used ring/pinion is a very iffy thing to buy used, I know a lot of local guy who beat on them nos/blower stuff they change often because they took a whipping already and they dont want them to break on them. Lifters,rockers, trq converters are all in the same vote as a transmission to me, most rebuildable. I've bought all the above used several times and had 0 issues
rockers are for sure a decent thing to pick up used, the cost to have rebuild is usually little and normally you save 100's of $ going that way. JMO
your right normally 50% is what things go for used depending on the market.
