AMEN to all the above.
Yesterday in Georgia, the voters said a big fat NO to the T-SPLOST (transportation special purpose option sales tax) by a 2/3 majority. Our state spent 8 million dollars to hype this up and they got their butt kicked.
If they would have attended (and listened) to any town hall roundtable meetings, the $8M would still be in the bank. This is big brother telling us we need more buses and trains, and the people are saying we need less big brothers.
We learned you cannot trust the government with our money. Example: The toll on GA400 was supposed to go away in 2011, but somehow the tolls were extended to 2020. With this vote coming up, the governer suddenly said he would end it this year. :shock: :shock: :shock:
As the voters from both parties indicated yesterday,"you can fool me once, but not twice".
