My name is Scott. Nickname Rabbit, from Augusta, Ga. Asphalt and concrete were made to get you to the race. Not to race on!! Mud racers give their trucks names because #'s on the side of a car are boring. A name is part of your personality or a statement :!: :!: :!:

Default Not new to cars, but new to racing them legally

currently building a 67 2dr chevy II sedan. Should be on the road with the 194 in a couple weeks. I want to take it to the track to see how my runs improve over time. I'm building a mild supercharged LT1 block for it. Don't expect to win anything, just have fun.

also building a BMW 325 track only car, but that's on the far backburner set to "warm"

also own 64 impala vert 409/425 (not original) 70 el camino SS 396, 56 Nomad, and 97 BMW M3

21 mpg in a 66? That's incredible...the day before I bought my 64 I was looking at a 66. Left my number and the guy didn't call until 2 days later. Had to tell him he lucked out. 65 and 66 are sweet cars.

my 64 is in too many pieces to get a good pic  but here's the engine:

as soon as the chevyii is on the road, the Impala starts reassembly mode

the Nomad is still in my Dad's garage. That's another winter project...very easy restore: engine, 1/4 panel, and paint.[/img]

Man those w-motors had some beautiful valve covers.21 mpg in a 66...well it is a factory 327 with a powerglide so that means it comes with airplane gears in the rearend.2.73s.So with a 2.73 gear,a 237/75r15 tire and a 4 speed(no slippage) it turns 1700 rpm at 55 mph and only 2000 rpm at 65 Throw in a GM crate motor(Fastburn 385)with a tight duration hydraulic roller and you got yourself a decent little cruiser!Get 18 mpg highway with the A/C on Just hope I never pull up beside you with that big w-motor..I'll get smoked for sure!!
