Vortec 454 truck engine into a car.
I am installing a 1996 Vortec 454 into a 1972 Chevelle. What is necessary to change it over to a naturally aspirated carburetored engine? I want to do away with the fuel injection, and computer controlled ignition. Is there an intake manifold for this engine? Would an MSD distributor work? I've already changed the oil pan to clear the K frame. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm inclined to agree with dparker anothe company is FAST Technologies with in jection and computer contrls you can adjust when the fuel and timing curves come in and the BBC will be better running and have way more HP
You will have to change the oil pan to a more comventional one like on a car for the Chevelle but other than that should be a bolt in and Hooker makes the Headers for it too....
