will ported and polished heads affect smog test?
I found a good deal on some sbc heads ported and polished.I am currently running full rollers 1.52 ratio on stock heads.I still have to smog. Will the port and polish make my numbers go up on the smog test and cause a fail?Any info for more performance and pass smog?Chime in.I've done the flowmaster exhaust, full roller rockers, flamethrower distributor, new tranny with shift kit..Electric fan is on the way.Was thinking electric water pump. But dont think thats to good for everyday driving.I'm open on all your thoughts.Kinda makes it more technical trying to get all you can get and pass smog test.Makes you think twice about the combo. Will a computer out think the true engine guru's?GURU'S chime on in.

Much more info is needed.
What is it now?
What modifications already done?
What kind of vehicle and the year?
What are your goals?
What is it to be primarily used to do?
Not all vehicles need to meet the same criteria. Some states are different too. What state ar you in?
Usually an ok or a good porting job will not mess up a smog test. A bad port butchering job can.

Save ur money on them heads, buy that electric fan that will free at least 20 or more ponies-something you'll defiently feel when you stomp on it and you wont even be creating anymore green house gasses than before....lol
P.S. Dont fret worrying about an electric pump on a daily driver, most out flow OEM factory pumps big time, now accessories and electric pumps?? thats another story.
