Edelbrock Carbs Siphoning Gas
Hi All,
I have a 34 Plymouth Coupe with no hood that I took to the track for the first time, and had an unexpected problem. The 2 Edelbrock 600 carbs on a tunnel rammed 454 siphoned a bit of gas out around the plunger rod for the accelerator pump at the top of second gear. It misted all over the windshield.
Coincidently, The motor does not want to rev past 5500 rpm in second gear. I'm asking for 5900.
I set the floats properly according to edelbrock's specs.
Other equipment includes: Magneto, turbo 400, 373 rear gears.
What gives?
