So far all I have is the block, rods and supercharger. Rods are callies compstar 6.125 inch, and the supercharger is vortech s-trim. This supercharger is only good for 700hp so once i get the motor running good with it im gonna have to upgrade to achieve my 1200hp goal

Default L!1 in a vette

I have the LS1 - basically stock in my 99 coupe - 6 sp, 3.73 rear, better intake, exhaust and brakes. I think the L! series are the best SBC ever built - can drive at 650 rpm in 6th gear, never lugs - thus really fantastic mileage. Must be mostly due to SFI. Many major changes from past 350 SBC, even different firing order.

My two sons run LS1's in there 2001 trans am and 1999 camaro SS. Tim's Orange 99 Camaro was the one that you saw on PINKS. I didn't know much about LS1's a few years back but now they are pretty cool motors and make tons of power. Tim runs NHRA C/Stock now in his Camaro. We built the motor and it has ran 10.70's with a lot more potential. Todd's Trans AM with cam and gears ran 11.50's with a stock rear end.
There is a web site www.ls1tech.com and check out the forum. These guys know everything about LS and LSX. Pretty cool stuff and I'm an old school guy that still runs a carb and always will
