Default vintage air problem

My 1940 ford coupe is blowing cool air. The clutch is engaging but when I connect the refrigerant can to low side the gauge shows 35 psi and nothing happens. The gauge stays were it's at and the air remains cool. What gives?

I'd give the guys at Vintage Air a shout. I have installed several of their systems and they have decent customer support.
