Decipher production code on 53-56 Ford truck
Having searched extensively for production code answers, I'm counting on the RJ team for answers.
On 53-56 Ford pickup trucks, the VIN tag has a section where the production code is stamped into the metal. This is on the second line, the last section on the right, .
I do not know what it will tell you, just guessing cab style / seats / trim ?
Anyone know what they mean? Thanks, Dave

The 53-56 Ford Car Data Plate Codes, the Production code represented the following:
Example: 13 G 493
13 -is the day of the month,
G - is the month of the year, July
493 - is the number of the cars produced
