Your wrong. Its not slander. If it were anything it would fit the definition of Libel- but its unlikely it is going to be deemed that either.

I doubt that there is any intent; so climb carefully off your high-horse and deal with the buyer appropriately.

Libel and Slander

"Libel" involves the publishing of a falsehood that harms someone. Slander is the same doctrine applied to the spoken word. Collectively, they are referred to as "defamation". Both are a matter of state laws, which usually (not always) require that the falsehood be intentional.

In New York Times v. Sullivan, the Supreme Court held that the First Amendment requires that, before a public official can recover damages for a defamatory statement, he must prove it was made with "actual malice", even if state laws otherwise allow recovery for negligent defamation. The Court has since expanded this to cover not only public officials but "public figures", including individuals who involve themselves in controversies.

Default Jason Prtiz ripped me off

Wow this guy finally showed his face. Here is my story.
-I spoke with him on the phone agreed to buy his transsmission and couplers for $1,000
-Wired his bank $1,000
-He called twice the day the wire went to make sure he got the money.
-Said he would ship that day
-Never called back with tracking number as promised.
-1 AND A HALF WEEKS LATER I CALLED HIM TO SEE WHERE IT WAS
-Wouldnt return calls
-Used a different cell phone with another prefix he called back twice.
-I spoke with him and he said he would call right back with the tracking number
-NEVER CALLED BACK
-I spoke with racingjunk and googled this guy

-He has written bad checks to tracks
-Sold the tranny to 2 people I know of
-Sold but never sent heads to another buyer
-Copied the picture of the tranny I paid for never got from another racingjunk.com ad
-That guy never heard of Jason Pritz

SO JASON PRITZ YOU HAVE BEEN GONE AND NOW ARE BACK SEND THE TRANNY AND COUPLERS TO ME AND TRY TO SAVE FACE. YOUR CAUGHT REFUND THE MONEY OR SEND THE TRANY

We sent Jason a certified check, he cashed it, did not send the heads and now he will not respond to phone calls or e-mails. He has not proven himself to be a man of his word! If you are a victim of Jason please call me (757)472-1660. Thanks! 1bad37

Seems like you have been busy working with Jason to straighten this out.

Now you have another phone number.

Keep up the great work.

Every time you post Teamgrt15, I am sending your buddy Jason to the top.

That is until he squares his deals and his customers let us know.

He can thank you personally.

Hey Scorp,

I think it is funny how this guy joined the same day that this thread was posted against his "friend". I am starting to wonder if this aint the the one that did the scamming and is from Family Auto just trying to make sure that his name aint being slug thru the mud on his bad deals.
