Details boy...details.???
I'm 35 and I still get excited when I buy hot rod parts.
I took a vacation day the day MY parts came in last time. I had a complete rotating assembly and a brand new aftermarket block come in all in the same afternoon. You can't expect a guy to go to work two hours after he gets that kind of loot in the mail. He could get injured.

I have my parts delivered to work and UPS man knows if there is a package for me that it is engine parts or something. Also, it helps that my wife does not see everything I am buying and keeps peace in the house. lol

Eagle rods
I don't want to ruin your day but Eagle doesn't make a 5140 H beam rod, they only come in 4340 mat'l, so if you got a 5140 set it's a good bet that they are not Eagle rods.
Below is a pic. of an eagle H beam rod, they are easy to identify with the ridge in the middle of the radius cutout and the flat raised area outside the rod bolt.

why were they not $165 a set?
Man...I bought a set of Eagle H Beams for a big block about 10 years ago and I paid like 600 bucks and some change. Prices sure have went down.

Hey Todd,
If you noticed anything that you or i could use was between $430.00 and $500.00 all the stuff that was for sale was light weight or unconvertual rod length. The good stuff cost dealers between $375.00 and $425.00, add L19 bolts another $75.00. The SIR rods are pretty good but don't compare to the H beams.
